It has been a while since the last post. Jay and Karen from North Dakota came for a visit two or so weeks ago. We decided to take them to Moon House Ruin for the day. It takes a little more than 2 hours to drive to and an hour or so hike. It is one of my favorite places to hike to. It is a must see before it get destroyed, for it has been published in a guide book with GPS coordinates. People who don't respect tend to destroy. Come see this beautiful place and enjoy an incredible hike.

Bite the bullet

Verle told me the other day that we just needed to bite the bullet and buy some wood flooring. Verle has been researching and bringing home samples for a month on wood flooring. Last Friday we traveled to Grand Junction and bought some. At first we were going to go with Bamboo because it is environmentally friendly and it looks cool. A passer buyer at Lowes said that the bamboo would swell up when the humidity would change. Then the flooring guy at Lowes said the same thing. So we had to rethink our choose. Luckily that had the Oak floor out on display. It was not to light, or to dark, or to busy, or to calm. They had the right amount of boxes so that is what we went for.
It took us all day Saturday to remove the carpet and install the flooring in our bedroom. I used a chop saw to cut the planks and laid out the flooring while Verle used the staple gun to staple.
Nice and Muddy in New Harmony

Sunday was a nice but muddy day. I decided that I would let the dogs out of the green house to run around, I should of known better. Ginger decided to take off and the puppies joined her. Verle and I were out yelling for them while sinking in the mud. Not only were our boots muddy, but so were the dogs! Kiva and Quioa experienced their first baths.
Family Fun
It has been a couple of weeks and I have a few updates. A few weeks ago we were down in St. George for a family Christmas party. It was nice to see everybody, go 4 wheeling, and open more presents. We held the party at my sister Megan's house near Hurricane, but closer to Sand Hallow Reservoir. It was such a nice day that mom and I decided to go for a ride, but we kept running in to a golf course! That's okay we still had fun.
