Car Show Weekend

Just when you thought a car had no life left in it, the motorist of the Moab Car Show come in to town. Not only do they look great they sound grrreat. Verle and I went down to the park before the crowds got there and saw some fabulous vehicles, and not so fabulous vehicles. Car show is supposed to be filled with wonderful restored cars and not cars that were made within the past 10 years. I know Corvettes are expensive, but they still have modern day commercials.

I experienced my first "Cruise Night" in Moab with Verle. Let's say it was like Spring Break in St. George 15 years ago, but with cooler cars and legal drunks. I have never seen most of the town out to enjoy a cruise up and down Main Street before. They even have cops from other cities come help to control the crowds. Verle and I did enjoy a couple of cruises up and down Main. We also enjoyed watching the people go up and down themselves.

In between the Car Show and Cruise Night, Verle and I went down to Mineral Bottom to find a couple of things. The first thing we were on the hunt for is the "D. Julen" inscription off of the Green River. The next was a "grainery" Verle saw a picture of from his Uncle Kent. Let's just say we were successful on our hunt.
